Focus Open Gold for Palito made by Sattler

Jury Statement: Its filigree appearance isn´t the only surprising feature of this luminaire: thanks to its asymmetrical suspension, it performs a permanent and adjustable balancing act. As a result, several luminaires can be positioned toproduce the same kind of playful effect as a mobile.

Well-balanced asymmetry playing with gravity

The Palito pendant luminaire from Sattler seems to defy the laws of gravity: The asymmetrical balanced pendant luminaire floats horizontally in space. An integrated and precisely adjustable balance weight puts it into the desired position.

Sattler´s Fino – elegant diversity in 22mm

Slim elegance, fine finish and carefully designed details characterize the design of the FINO light series for Sattler.

The Fino Series includes floor lamp, pendant luminaire and spot light. The fine aluminium tube, 22 mm in diameter only, features a brushed surface finish, anodised in the colours bronze, black or champagne gold or just finely polished.

Michael Schmidt meets Pulpo for a drink

The impulse for the MADISON bar wagon was given to Michael Schmidt by the TV series MAD MEN in which people smoke and drink with pleasure. And because the stylish enjoyment of Whiskey, Gin and Co. has regained great popularity in recent years, Schmidt and his team have taken this topic again. The result for the brand PULPO is an expressive piece of furniture with a sophisticated combination of brushed solid wood, polished stainless steel and tinted glass.

Avveni as floor light

The Avveni lighting system for Sattler is expanded by a concrete base. This version is the smallest floor and table light in the modular lighting system. Avveni is a new modular lighting system that illuminates as a single spot or as a room-expanding, expandable structure.

Avveni concrete wins darc award

The international design community was invited to vote on their favourite projects and products for the darc awards / decorative design award.
The Avveni concrete is in second place in the category “FLOOR _ the best decorative floor standing fixture”.

Michael is in charge of the art direction for bbqube + OCQ

What a fantastic experience! Michael Schmidt and his team created the new imagery for the new OCQ and bbqube catalogue, photographed by Bernd Kammerer. Seventy pages of outdoor kitchens and tables, enjoying life outdoors cooking with friends.

Avveni wins IF Award 2017

The AVVENI luminaire series for Sattler wins another design prize. The jury was convinced by both the 360-degree rotatable magnetic connection between the exchangeable light head and the luminaire structure and the design of the unique biomorphic modular structure with its ultra-flat lamp.

Hairdresser chair for Olymp, the fourth

Cove is the name of the new hairdressing chair designed by Michael Schmidt and C2D. Within 5 years, 4 designs have been created for Olymp, which won 7 international design prizes. As the name indicates, the latest design is characterized by its shell shape with a narrow silhouette and high sitting comfort. The high seating comfort required for a hairdressing chair is based on a continuous foamed shell with different cushioning thicknesses. The connection of the armrest to the back and seat shell impresses with elegance and high detail quality.

Avveni is a GDA Winner 2017

Avveni from Sattler wins the German Design Award. The award, which is awarded by the German Design Council, directly contributes to the overall commercial success. Prizes will only be awarded to projects that truly represent pioneering contributions to the German and international design landscape.
