The PURE showkitchen for Hettich at Interzum 2011 in Cologne communicates highest quality and premium design while it looks like an oversized, black diamond. “I pondered over the best design for a sculpture that should also function as a kitchen, highlighting the Hettich drawer extensions to showcase the intricacy of a design besides which others pale in comparison. I knew that a kitchen sculpture for the premium segment should have something special, reflected also in the choice of materials used. I selected faceted glass as the ideal material with a large, polished black gemstone as a mission statement for the project.”
